Ashley Hoogland, DVM

Meet the friendly staff at Sibley Veterinary Clinic!

Ashley Hoogland
“Being a veterinarian has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. Performing surgery, whether it is a lifesaving surgery or an elective surgery such as spaying and neutering, is a passion of mine. Veterinary medicine is always changing, and there are new advantages in the medical field every day. I’m happy to be a part of that. I love helping others and I love animals. What better job to have than a veterinarian?”

Dr. Ashley grew up near Hospers in Northwest Iowa. She attended Iowa State University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. In 2014 she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She began working for Drs. Daniel and Loretta Berkland at the Sibley Veterinary Clinic in June 2014. Her areas of interest are small animal medicine and surgery. She has the advantage of being technologically savvy to keep us updated with the newest diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography, portable ultrasounds, and thermal imaging. Her husband, Cory, and her currently have four girls, Jaci, Riley, Brynnlee & Kenzie, and one son, Colby, which keep her very busy outside of veterinary medicine. She enjoys reading, working outside, traveling when possible, and baking. You can find her keeping busy at the clinic anytime during the week.
